Kodomo no Jikan: Anata ga Watashi ni Kureta Mono  

He only canceled the licencing because quite some Americans would see this series as "inapropriate" and would blow it out of proportions, while in Japan this kind of stuff really isnt too bad. Also the english name they chose for Konoji was "Nymphet", wich is so wrong because that focusses on the sexual nature of the things from the start, while Kodomo No Jikan just means "Child's Time".

But in all honesty, this series is great, I've read the manga up to volume 5 Chapter 32 or something, i really wanna read more, great character development, great story. The manga and anime deviate though, they made a differend ending for the anime to just fit it into 12 episodes (for example it doesnt even touch on Shirai's change, and depicts Rin's guardian's love for her in a very different way than in the manga). You just need to see past the ecchi stuff, wich is really part of the story tbh. It tosses alot of questions at you eally, one being if Rin really knows what what she says implies or is just spouting words. Like she might try to provoke her teacher alot by showing herself off, but when he DOES accidentally see her bare chest for example (when her shirt got caught on a tree, one of the only times they actually show her breasts) she freaks and is very embaressed.

I have to agree that the TV anime is rediculously censored, watch the DVD episodes, although ive downloaded the first 2 eps and they use the TV episode subs   wich means you hear the words but the translation is sensored.... (although it doesnt take much Japanese knowledge to know what "ecchi shite" means for example )

Cute series, but yeah, heavy on  the loli. Non perverts be ware.

Does the fact the writer is female change your opinion as to maybe the writers purpose for creating the story of Kodomo no Jikan?

Umm...it was created by a woman. You know, the girl kind. And it is very risque but that's because the series is driven by its ribaldry. I will be the first to admit that there are some perverse parts, but I'd then also point out the cultural gap. We as a country see things VERY differently from how they see things over there. The chances of the U.S. ever becoming less prude is highly unlikely. And by that I mean fucking impossible. But, no matter what the hell you're doing, sex sells. Now I realise they are little girls, and I mean really little, but the series as a whole deals with their experiences and how people deal with their sexuallities. I don't even really think the series is all that great, but it is entertaining to a degree and it does so in a way that pushes the envelope, and I seriously applaud that.

Now, that being said if you wanted to jack off to stuff like this, I'd suggest something with a little less plot and intellegence in the way. I mean, if you're here you at least know your way around the internet, you should be able to find what you're looking for.

vargas, this does have subtitles, try opening it in a player such as media player classic with k-lite, or cccp, that, i believe has the best over all quality for mkv files, however, for the other filetypes i usually like gom player.

OVA: censor free
TV series: LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of cencoring
DVD release: censor free
Manga: censor free

sadly the DVD releases are only up to episode 5 or 6 out of the total 12.

I strongly reccomend people to read the manga as well btw, you can search around on the net for it, SaHa translates a new chapter each month as far as I know.
