Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory [EG][h.264]  

Hugely overblown filesize is the mark of a bad encode. Sure, why worry over codec settings, when you can just make the file 500 megs and claim that your "encode" is the best, well duh, if everyone made 500 megs per episode encode you wouldnt be anything special, EnG. Fortunately, there are sane people out there, with actual encoding know-how.

Looks great, but this series is very  .
Every one yelling like a crybaby, and there a lot of ridiculous hapening... like how they steal Gundam 2  

After all, watchable.

I downloaded this twice and I Couldn't get it to work  :'-( the properties told me that the run time for the episodes was 0:00??? Can we fix this? I love this series and would love to own it!

Are you using CCCP?

yeah i'm having problems skipping around episodes and episode 8 doesnt work at all.  i use VLC btw, i'm probably going to redownload it and see if it improves, cause i think my computer crashed in the middle of the torrent .. shrug

Is it just me that has some problems with the music being loud? Is it a problem with this encode or this series?

As for claiming it is best when it uses the most size, what is wrong with that? That is always the trade off, size or quality.

I don't get the comment from whoever posted the torrent, VLC is a video player, CCCP is a codec pack... VLC does have trouble with .mkv, though. I found that Real Alternative tends to go through .mkv with ease, should be pretty easy for anyone to find if the Google it.

VLC comes with it's own codecs, which don't work very well with MKV.

Anyone else having corrupted video issues?  So far its only been the "end credits" of Episode 1 and the opening to Episode 4.

Yes, I have the latest CCCP and rechecked the DL to make sure I got all of it.

Actually after war gundam x is still part of the uc timeline as it still greatly references federation, zeon, and newtypes as terms as well as was periodically mentioned throughout the series events that happened from the uc timeline more closely than turn a does.

from what research i did it's supposed to take place after the events of what is now become the Unicorn Saga. Basically the closer if you will to the UC timeline supposedly doing away with terms spocenoids, federation, newtypes and the such.

asides that, i have to agree with a prior comment on that many of the official subbings were greatly screwed up and mistranslated as if you get a hold of the original version English dubbed/subbed 0079 series they had jaburo as jabrow as it was common mishearing/translation as in a few episodes you would hear Bright and occasional othes say Jabrow and others Jaburo.

So based on that this wasn't that bad of a job on encoding, especially if the subbing was pulled directly from the dvds as i did used to own the retail at one point and they did have them say/read Jabrow

so have to give this encoding a thumbs up, especially as there are so many english/japanese dictionaries and translations out there over the past 100yrs or so
