My one complaint is the faces of people in this art style. It just doesn't sit well with me 
. This is without a doubt a kids show of epic proportions. But still worth your time if you can get by the anoying art.

I remenber the orig.Kotetsu Jeeg http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,1897,etxvje,kotetsu_jeeg.html dont got to see the whole thing but with old anime creators like go nagai's Mazinger/Great/Mazinkaiser/Getter Robo/Shin Getter EXT. is good stuff.

But still worth your time if you can get by the anoying art.Well, the art was supposed to mimic the style used in the original Kotetsu Jeeg... so yes THAT anime was aimed at kids at the time but THIS anime is basically aimed at those very same kids who have now grown up.

I was a great fan of the original Kotetsu Jeeg. I have also read the first part of the manga (sadly the second part never got translated), which is very different from the show.

I didn't realize I was watching Kotetsu Jeeg in the 80s until I made some research on Go Nagai today, this is great! Thank you so much for sharing!!

February 14th 2009 (3 years and 3 months and 16 hours)it starts off slow and sorta confusing but it really picks up later. i don't think i've ever had the chance to watch the original series, but i definitely watched my share of these shows back in the 80's.
also queen himika is hot. furthermore: Booby-Drill-Attack = super-win.
it's really not, it's pretty squarely aimed at adults who grew up with shows like this. it doesn't take itself very seriously either, but without becoming super-slapstick-annoying.
