Just wanted to confirm radionerd's solution, for some odd reason (even though Windows sound was set to 2 speakers), in the config for the ffdshow audio decoder that my Zoom Player uses, it had been set to what looked like full surround sound speakers configuration. All I had to do was tick Mixer on and set it to 2 stereo speaker config and voila, the problem of very quiet voices and loud music/sfx had gone, everything was balanced. I did notice afterwards that according to the FFDShow real-time audio output info section in it's config, that this particular encode automatically defaults to surround sound multiple speakers, UNLESS Mixer is on, hence the quietness.@KURT1995: Like me, you'll probably notice that other video files that you had assumed were at normal volume were actually not and are much louder and balanced now.

This is beyond boring. The plot is terrible.
The dialogue is nonstop philosophical nonsense.
Music is forgettable.
Less of a movie and more of a "Hey look what we can do with CGI" fest.
Some CGI scenes are so random, their relevance is questionable.
The saddest thing is they had a 20 M$ budget for this.
I suggest you use that 1:40 hour for something else.
The dialogue is nonstop philosophical nonsense.
Music is forgettable.

i think i dl a thora version ages ago and like all 1080, i convert them to 696v for safer play and smaller save space- originally it had no english track so i tried to merge it with my dvd rip but it was always off by a few seconds so hopefully i'll be de-muxing this beuaty to re mux the 5.1/6.0 to my scalled conversion with no need to re-convert the whole thing (pending audio syc)
for those who maon about this movie i personally can't defend it too strongly either- it was an effects fest and it felt very clostrophibic to watch, the fact that batao told off the poor girl for what she caused was pointless given what the sick fucks were doing to them. like the book the first outing was the best.
