Damn, this is good (or at least the first chapter is). Well-acted, beautifully produced, good casting, great slice of Japanese office worker life. I wondered how this would compare to the anime (one of my favorites), and it holds up very well. And technically, it's a really beautiful encode, one of the best I've seen.

The more episodes of this I watch, the more I like it. It has a lot of the flaws of Japanese TV (talking to the audience directly, sanitized characters, occasional godawful hair, etc.), but it's damn well made. If you liked the anime, you'll love this.

Loved the anime. And Kanno Miho does a good job as Hiroko. So, yeah, I must say I like what I see in this live-action/jdrama series.

Great Jdrama 8/10 - Although very comedic and heart touching, it did keep some depth with women in the Japanese workplace.

I really liked Hataraki Man. I found the story interesting and the actors entertaining. But it ended just when things were beginning to get interesting between Matsukata and Tanaka. I wish there was a season 2.
