On big filesize: The producers added grain to the BD discs themselves as part of their upscale, probably to camouflage upscale flaws. Problem is, grain is beyond hella hard to encode to compress well, because it disrupts the whole "neighbouring pixels w/ same or mathematically related colour data" thing that makes significant compression without much loss of detail possible. Hence the filesize... Any attempt to compress it further (or to majorly degrain it) will get rid of the grain and shrink filesize a lot, but at the expense of all detail on the couple-pixels-wide level. If you want that, just grab the 480p, it'll actually be more detailed than any results you're likely to obtain. You really dont know what you're talking about. This is not an upscale in anyway, its an HD remaster of the original film stock, that grain is inherent to the source.
but onto what i really wanted to say, i didnt actually download this release, i stole the scripts that the KIRA guy posted earlier and remuxed them into the Yousei-Raws version, since they did 1080p(its 102 gigs including the movie though lulz) but the editing on these scripts is absolutely abysmal...same with the Ktiming, why even do ktiming if its gonna be this bad?

lol and that makes it ok to release a substandard product? thats bogus, if you arent gonna do it right, don't do it at all.
we should start up an editing campaign for the whole script and then do a BBT remux

There's a lot of now-and-then details about the source of this release that, as mentioned, has a lot to do with how this specific release ended up. That plus the availability then, also as mentioned, that even after all this time is practically unchanged... well, there's not much else I can contribute to the discussion. n_n
