OK, I've got the audio on it's way to Xtras now, so as soon as he has it and can update the file, we'll be all set. The AAC on the Japanese track has not changed from what is already there, it's just the AC3 track for the dub that is being updated.

Sorry for the delay. Real Life issues were pressing. Anyway I finished the remux and now this one features a 640 Kbps 5.1 channel AC3 track. I believe it should exceed any expectations.

Edit: Dang Blub that was FAST. Hardly took you 20 seconds, probably less.

It's from the R1 DVD. And what's with the eye roll? It's not possible to get it any higher than that if it is sourced from a DVD.

I swear to god, if I hear complaints about the audio quality with an otherwise untouched track, I'm never going to listen to another complaint about audio quality again.

Maybe he thought thought the same thing as me... as I have never seen 640 KB/s audio track for anime  :-D I actually would of been confused too, but I trust you did it correctly.

640 Kbps bitrate is definitely impossible for AC3 audio from DVD source

Indeed, I believe you are correct. Our mistake. My sincerest apologies to those of you who wasted over half a gigabyte of bandwidth so far. OZC is away right now, but I'll personally make sure that the torrent gets fixed up as soon as he can with the proper 448 Kbps audio. We usually don't use AC 3 audio, and we've been doing Blu Ray FLAC stuff recently, and made a mistake in setting the audio settings.

I apologize again. If I could give each of you ratio credit in compensation, I'd gladly do so.

I'm wondering why you don't simply copy the AC3 stream.

I apologize again.

Like hell.
Even if you fuck up the audio, the video or the subtitles, I'll always love you, for all the hard work you put into this for our enjoyment.
Thank you OZC, thank you so very much.

Well, looks I fucked up. Big fucking surprise there, right? That's what happens when you get tired of hearing complaints about audio, find the highest bitrate available, and save it as such. I don't have the time to fix it right now, so either Xtras can resume uploading it or pull the torrent, I frankly don't care either way right now. If he doesn't resume uploading, it'll be at least another 18 hours before I can fix it.

After re-encoding the thing we found that it was a really small difference in the total file size. As it is so negligible we are going to leave it as is for the benefit of the current seeders and for our own sanity. The audio quality is still of course, just as good as if you had the full disc itself playing so no worries on the quality end of it, there is just a small bit of dead file size. We appreciate your support and will continue to try and deliver you quality releases. Thank You

Not your fault. I appreciate you pointing it out. I was just in a bad mood earlier thanks to a bad day at work. Much better mood now though, so all is good.

Let this be a lesson, never work on anime when you're in a bad mood. :o)

So hard to choose when 2 of the highly esteemed groups in the anime ripping scene have released their own encodes. Between OZC and THORA, I decided to pick OZC. From the screenshot, THORA seemed to have some "grainy bits" on it, OZC is smoother and crisper. :-)

And thank you OZC staff for always taking into consideration people's comments about your work. Very approachable staff.

I love OZC releases, but I actually prefer the Thora image quality on this one. I'm just glad there isn't a huge difference between the two, and both look great. That way I can have my dual audio and fantastic image quality.

Thanks guys, it's great getting to watch some dubbed Bebop in HD  .  I'd buy a series set in a second if they'd release that on Blu.

Thanks for the 640 Kbps Ac3. Yes its more than the original 448 Kbps file on DVD but its not a big deal(won't increase size much at all) and its MUCH better than going below its original size like your previous 192 Kbps.  :-P So nobody should complain.
