I watched this when it came out. If you're feeling stressed after a hard day's work, this might just be the cure. The miko is my favorite character out of the bunch...

they claim this a Slice of Life comedy but i see it as more as a drama I mean come on it's about a 6 to 10 year old girl who has no family living by herself in a broken down house working for money to make ends meet it's very sad though despite the characters looking Chibi.

This is a great ANime. Its very touching and heartwarming. Alot of kids could do good by watching this just to see how spoiled lazy they are.

other than that though, this isn't for kids. you either haven't watched it or you're a fool if you think that. the whole show just screams loneliness to an extent 'normal' kids would never be able to understand. maybe i read too far into it, but it's one of the most depressing things i've seen. brkeane is completely right.

I agree, I found the whole living alone in a run down hut on the side of a mountain bit really depressing

February 26th 2011 (1 year and 2 months and 24 days)Farmers who had worked the silk production on the side became poverty stricken. The farmers had to resort to what they used to do in the Shogun era, they sold their daughters. Kids without family found it hard.
