This looks like a poor ripoff of the lion king xD

^ I doubt it dear. You know those Disney bastards steal all the good animation and entertainment they find. It's more likely that Disney "borrowed" the idea from this or the Japanese in general and calmed it as theirs.  ;-) Give me a break "The circle of life" something with that kind of meaning and life teaching cannot possibly come from Disney or Americans in general :P
Those Disney assholes.    (Yes you might have noticed. I hate Disney :3 )

Don't start bashing people, bash the companies. There's absolutely no reason to say that something with meaning can't come from Americans, even if you're joking, because you know that's not true.

So I need a degree in literature to notice the screaming similarities between The Lion KIng and Hamlet? Have you ever even read Shakespeare? And you call Americans unintellectual....Also I never said that every single anime and manga artist is directly inspired by Disney, but since the people who popularised anime and manga like Tezuka WERE influenced, the anime industry is what it is thanks to him. Who knows if animation in general would have taken off the way it did without him?

You are right though, I did blow this way out of proportion, arguing on the internet is really a fool's errand. When someone, like you, makes sweeping generalizations about entire countries that is a clue that he could not be further from open minded and reasonable, so it's my fault for ever paying attention to your post. I apologise to all the other posters here.

THANK YOU!!! SolemnMind. Disney has some really bad movies, however they have some very good movies, because of the quality and content, and matters on who wrote the film. Disney is just a company. Tezuka was a very good animator. Do not mix a company with a very talented story teller.

Actually the real irony of that statement is that Tezuka's original series - Jungle emperor Leo (aka Kimba the White Lion) came WAAAY before the Lion King. If you've seen them both its actually painfully obvious that Disney completely ripped off Tezuka's original work then had the gall to say they'd never even heard of it.

read that and tell me you still think this is a poor ripoff of the lion king xD

I enjoyed this very much. I had never watched Kimba the White Lion before, so I didn't know what to expect. What I got was an adorable story with good visuals. It's just so cute, I will show this to my kids (when/if I have them).

Kimba came before Lion King. This is why "Simba" was created from "Kimba". Lion King stole Kimba series and turn it into Simba LOL
