Only on episode 11 and I've enjoyed it so far. These girls need to learn some new songs to sing it's so annoying hearing them sing the same song over and over. Never thought I'd like a super robot anime as much as I like real robots. Worth the DL guys. ;}

This localization habit that fansub groups have gotten into is killing me....episode 10: ninjin fighters = carrot fighters (reference to hat color), subs say Twober Fighters.... wtf?

But that is a right translation. It's the team from Class 2, 2 = ni, and carrots are a tuber plant. Hence Twober works perfectly and preserves the pun, without the need for a lengthy TL note to detract from the proceedings. The name for the other team works the same way: they're from Class 1 (ichi), ichigo = strawberry, hence "Onderberry Stars." Thumbs up to gg for their creativity on that and various other things in this show. They also gave us a warning we can all take to heart from episode 18:

Animation was excellent, music was awesome, and for a transformation sequence I think they did it right since it's probably one of the most memorable of any anime I've seen. Story was quite unique though it left me with plenty of questions since a lot of stuff never gets explained, and while I wasn't a fan of the ending they did that quite well. Overall a well recommended anime.
Also strangely my favorite part of the whole series were the songs that opened the fights.

dunno which one better when compared to CGi and Atsa though. All I know is they use gg's sub and edit it, removing fansubber's joke and editing out of character lines, use japanese name order and honorific.

Tons of predictable fights and patterns, but I never thought mecha could actually succeed in making anything cliche 'kakoi'. It was incredible.
