some of the eps is missing ed karaoke translations not that it matters much.
Later eps had it though
Whats worse is, some of the translation English grammar was incorrectly phrased. Not sure if it was because of the original Soldat subs, or mistypos from Figmentos.
Either way there was roughly a dozen sentences with incorrect grammar, but at least i understood it more or less.
About 5 times some dubs didn't even have any translations at all
But the video and audio quality is better than the other releases out on the net, so i shouldn't be complaining too much. just pointing out there are some defects here and there, but NOT enough to turn me away from downloading these
No artifact defects though, just only some translation issues in a dozen or less sentences.
Anyway regarding the anime, the story is good but seems to be lacking in what exactly these experiments entailed and ....
Anyway i did enjoy the story

This isn't intended to replace the [A-Keep] release. This is a R2J DVD release due to the lack of R1 DVDs from Viz. I am not sure how BBT will treat this offer considering Viz has licensed this anime in 2008. The issue is that Viz only released episodes 1-15 for R1 due to lack of interest. Since I'm an asshole and been referred to as lazy (now work has been inferred as rushed and inconsistent) for the time it takes to subrip, OCR, style, edit, and time Anime-Kraze's subtitles, it's simple. I wanted to see how it was different. Decided I preferred Soldats. The A-Kraze subtitles have nothing wrong with them in terms of translation, I just preferred Soldats style. And I see no reason why I need to change it as said, translation and story is not affected at all by this. I guarantee for anyone who watches these four episodes will be more than satisfied with Anime-Kraze's translation, as they are excellent. A-Kraze did a fantastic job on Monster.
If you need screenshot comparisons (My encoding is minimal, I do not believe in filtering unless necessary (artifacts, combing, etc). Only the standard was done here. Cropping, IVTC, combing, VFR, occasional deband, occasional denoise. Some of these issues were very prevalent, but in terms of image quality, not much to filter, check for yourself in the comparison. The bitrate is just at the point where compression artifacts become noticeable. There is nothing else here, nothing fancy. Sorry if you expected lots of fancy filtering etc.

There are R2 Raws that mikezilla2 likes with wonderful youtube audio for english dub. I don't have screenshots for those, check C W forums for these gems of awesomeness with consistency and a project from someone who isn't lazy as I am.

Personally, I'm satisfied with the Anime-Keep version that I already downloaded (which looks pretty good for the most part), but I would like to know what tools you use for making releases. I'm planning on making a personal fansub release of some hard-to-find stuff for me and some friends that I might put out into the wild later on, but I'm not really sure where to start... I've got R1/R2/R0 DVD masters for everything I'm working with and I was going to look at Handbrake as a tool for the video and audio tracks (dual language all the way), but after that I just don't know what the hell I'm doing, especially not for the subtitles. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I love this anime. Anyone else know of any anime that is similar to Monster? Well... I was watching Death Note, and the recommended/related anime to it was Monster and Code Geass. That's how I found out about Monster. I haven't finished watching it though. But I recommend you watch Death Note. It was exciting from episode 1! Monster however,took time to get interesting.. for me anyway
