Is it just me or is the 1st screenshot big but the rest are tiny?

Not just you, it seems kikyounokana is trying to do things the hard way. The method I always use now is to first host the screenshots on ImageShack, place the thumbnails and direct image links in the description (the URLs to both are easily found, despite ImageShack's best efforts), then use the "Upload images to image server" function to put them on BakaSHOTS. After which I can just totally forget about them.

Fixed images for the most part, not sure what's causing the broken one as it works when clicked, or the duplicate thumbnail version or the other thumbnail. Still working on it.

Edit: Missing a screenshot, but no big deal I guess.

Further edit: Any suggestions on what to do with the .bmp files? They're not allowed in the torrent and are too big to be attachments. Would a .zip archive be okay for those?

Convert them to png or jpg and request a swap.

Please use PNG, and not JPEG.

Why the preference for PNG? Just curious.

I'll request the swap once the batch is released. Wishing they would just release it now without the extra trailers. As far as I can tell that's what's delaying the batch. What good is a trailer when you can watch the whole thing and previews are included at the end of each episode? Idgi *shrug*

I believe it's because the staff want screenshots to be a completely accurate representation of what the encode looks like, and the only way to ensure that is to mandate the usage of a lossless format, and PNG is the best available.

The screenshots are PNG, I was asking in regards to the BMP files being converted as they're not allowed in the torrent.

Oops, misunderstood the conversation. But it's pretty much the same thing, PNG is the generally preferred lossless format and even if they are like twice the size of high-quality JPEGs, the torrent itself is over 11GB, no one who already downloaded all of that will balk at a few extra megabytes on top of it.

Ah, I see then. I kind of feel like it wouldn't make too much difference as the BMPs aren't great quality, but maybe they'll be changed in the batch? If not, I can definitely convert them to PNG.

Well I finally decided to download SMC's files, and I hope they're changing things in the batch because there are two major things I can see wrong.

The BMP files in question are profiles and galleries for the characters that seem to have been taken directly off the DVDs (all 720x480). But the first of the two problems is that Disc 6's extras contain two profiles, one set all starting with 'S DVD 3' and the other all starting with 'S DVD 6'. Both in a directory called 'S DVD 6 Covers & Extras'. No idea how they managed to do that.

Second is that the profiles I have here cover Usagi, Chibiusa, Ami, Rei, and Minako. So where the hell's Makoto? I see no reason why the other five listed would get profiles and galleries while Makoto gets omitted, so SMC most likely just forgot one profile/gallery.

The S DVD 3 profile/gallery belongs to DISC 3 of the S season. I didn't realize they were not added to the third volume batch until I got to sixth volume.

PNG is a lossless compression format. Therefore, PNG screen shots will describe the original video quality as is.
JPEG format also can be lossless, but most people don't know how to make lossless JPEG compression or don't have software to make lossless compression. If JPEG was allowed, I think it would make some confusion about if JPEG screen shots are lossless or not.

The latest releases are R1s, so hopefully the R2s aren't far behind.
